Techniques used: Red Giant plugins (Retro Grade, Carousel), kerning, sizing of certain words and text transition timing with sound.
Unmissable Documentaries project was to create a promo for new and upcoming documentaries on NOW TV, which included, ‘Expecting Amy’, ‘The Assassination of John Lennon’ and ‘Klopp: The Never Ending Storm.’
I was given a reference and clean version of the video to incorporate typography within the video. My idea was to create a cine film transition to link to the unfolding of a documentary case, and how documentaries used to be presented. I created a piece of red art work in Adobe Illustrator to go behind the most important words within the sentence, so they stood out. The artwork I created was the colour red as I wanted it to link to Sky Documentaries brand colours.

Box Office Hits project was to create a promo for Box Office hits on NOW TV, which included, ‘Once upon a Time in Hollywood’, ‘Joker’, ‘Ad Astra’ and ‘Gemini Man’.
I was given a reference and clean version of the video to incorporate typography within the video. My idea was to make the text feel as though it was part of the video clip, the technique I used was Rotoscoping/Camera Tracking. I wanted typography to link to the film titles layout, so I textured the text using the font I was given in Adobe Illustrator and edited and resized the position of each individual letter within the word (kerning, sizing).
